Now Offering a Virtual Teen SRP Workshop
This summer might get messy. As we try to plan programs with constantly changing information and more questions than answers, learning to adjust on the fly and accept flops will be more important than ever.
An attendee of one of our teen librarian trainings recently contacted us asking if we would be offering virtual flop sessions for teens this summer. She thought that the flop balls and our flop-osophy which she had personally found impactful would both be beneficial to teens trying to deal with all of the changes going on in their lives.
As a result, we are now offering Flop On! - a 60 minute interactive, virtual session for libraries that introduces flop ball skills and strategies to strengthen resilience helping teens to thrive in the messiness that comes with learning, growth, and change. We send libraries 25 flop balls to distribute to tweens/teens prior to the workshop by mail or library pick up. We run the session on Zoom. Then they continue programming with the flop balls all summer and year long with tools and resources that we provide.
