Connecting Leaders to Content and Each Other

The Employers Association of the NorthEast hosted its first in-person Leadership Conference in three years and organizers knew their members needed something different. After years of working in isolation, leading through layoffs, and constantly trying to predict what’s next in an ever-changing climate, stress levels reached new heights. So they called us.

We created a space for the attendees to take a deep breath and remember what it feels like to relax so that they could connect with each other and be ready to process the information that we and the other speakers provided.

We shared our Flop-osophy strategies while getting them up and moving with Flop Ball exercises. In the morning, we encouraged them to “Free Your Mind” and have a growth mindset throughout the conference. Then after lunch, we shared our other strategies like “Lessen the Pressure” so that they would be mindful in taking what they learned at the conference back to their everyday lives.

The smiles and connections the Flop Balls created filled the room with a palpable energy. We love that this was felt by both the survey participant and the organization president:

~ “Flow Circus was different and fun and I loved how they tied into the theme of the overall conference to lead with heart and empathy for yourself and others.” Survey response

~ "The Flop Ball exercises were great, but the way you wove in thoughts on change and leadership made your participation in the conference so impactful. Thank you so much for bringing some play, laughter, and motivation to the conference. Your segments tied everything together." Meredith Wise, President, Employers Association of the NorthEast (EANE)
