Flow Circus has supported our local Wake Forest Area Chamber of Commerce since moving to the community 15 years ago. In the last 10 years, I have gotten involved in a number of capacities from participating in and then coordinating the Leadership Wake Forest program, helping to start a Youth Leadership program for high school students, and serving on the planning committee for the Women Business Owner's Alliance. The Chamber has been a great way connect with our community and fellow business people.

In an effort to deepen connections beyond name and elevator speeches, I suggested to our Chamber president that we start a book group. The staff loved the idea and a survey of membership showed strong support. Our kick-off Book Buzz conversation on March 15 will be on Start With Why: How Great Leaders Inspire Everyone to Take Action by Simon Sinek. I'm looking forward to hearing from other members how the book impacted their thinking and communicating about what drives them.

We are going to meet quarterly. I would love to hear your suggestions for other must read business books.
