How active are the workshops?
People will be out of their seats and moving. Ties may get loosened and sleeves rolled up. But don’t worry, this isn’t a Crossfit workout! Our programs are low-intensity. It can be done in professional dress, but you may want to let people know that they will be moving a moderate amount. We have experience accommodating for a variety of abilities and appreciate a heads up about any specific needs that your group may have.
How do you make the virtual sessions interactive?
Flop Balls are sent out to participants prior to the event. You can send them out along with other event materials or we can handle fulfillment for you. We then lead a session using them to create a truly unique, interactive, playful experience.
What are skill toys?
Skill toys are a category of simple, unplugged objects that with practice, people can balance, spin, toss, and master amazing tricks. Some of the skill toys we use include spinning plate, yoyo, flower sticks, and kendama. Juggling balls are skill toys, too. But they get their own workshop because of the several progressive steps needed to keep three in the air.
Can you connect your keynote/workshop to our mission or event theme?
You bet. Contact us and let us know the theme. We love being creative and developing new variations on our programs to help you meet your objectives for the event.
How far in advance do we need to contact you?
We regularly book events 6-18 months in advance. If you have a particular date in mind, the sooner, the better to secure the date. That said, if you need a workshop in the next week or two, contact us. If we have the date available, we’ll be there to save the day!
How much does it cost?
The cost will vary depending on the number of people, the program selected, length of time, time of year, travel costs, etc. Let us know more about the event by completing the contact us form or giving us a call and we will get you a more detailed estimate quickly.
Do you come to our office/venue?
Yes. We make things easy and come to you. We’ve worked in a variety of office settings, off-site venues, and conference centers. Although we can do some of our activities outside, indoor spaces are more predictable (participants won’t be happy if it’s hot, rainy, etc.) and more conducive to the learning and reflection parts of our programs.
Where is Flow Circus located?
Our offices are located in Wake Forest, NC (where the college used to be). We are close to Raleigh and Durham, travel nationally, and have worked in almost every state. We have a few more to go - Oregon and Utah, we’re looking at you
How long does a typical program last?
It depends on which program you select:
Team Building: 1.5-3 hours
Keynote: 45-90 minutes
Energizers: 15-30 minutes each
As you can see, there’s flexibility for each depending on the needs of your particular event. We have a quick and easy set up and break down that can be done in less than 30 minutes.
